Who we are
KAB Group LTD is the controller for the personal data described in this policy.
What information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Mobile number
- Postal address
- Postcode and general location (for service coverage and routing)
- Marketing preferences (opt-in)
- Messages you send us (for example through contact forms)
- Photos of bins or properties (potentially, if needed for service confirmation, issues, or evidence of work)
Payments are handled by GoCardless. We do not store your bank account details. GoCardless controls and stores payment details in line with their own policies.
How we use your information
- To provide cleaning services, manage routes, and fulfil subscriptions or bookings
- To communicate with you about your service (for example cleaning, delays, route changes)
- To respond to enquiries and messages you send us
- To send marketing emails and marketing SMS if you opt in
- To improve our services and website (including future analytics)
- To keep records for business operations, security, and legal or regulatory reasons
Our legal basis for processing
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), we rely on the following lawful bases:
To provide and remember your subscription or booking, manage routes, and deliver services you request.
To run and improve our business, respond to enquiries, prevent fraud, and keep records that help us deliver a reliable service.
For marketing emails and marketing SMS, we only contact you if you have opted in. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Where required, we keep records to comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal data. We only share it with trusted providers when needed to run the service, for example:
- GoCardless (payment processing and Direct Debit management)
- Hosting and infrastructure providers used to operate the website and services
- Email and SMS providers used to send service updates and marketing (only if you opt in for marketing)
We may also share information if we are required to do so by law or to protect our rights.
Marketing
We may send marketing emails and marketing SMS if you have opted in. You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email, replying STOP to an SMS (where supported), or by contacting us at info@kabgroup.co.uk.
Even if you do not opt in to marketing, we may still contact you about your service, for example cleaning confirmations, delays, route changes, or important account messages.
Analytics and cookies
We plan to use analytics in future to understand how people use our website and to improve performance and content. Analytics is not currently configured, but when it is, we will update this policy and, where required, provide cookie controls.

How long we keep your information
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above. This includes:
- Active customers: while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for records and support
- Enquiries and contact form messages: long enough to handle the request and maintain appropriate records
- Marketing: until you opt out or we decide to stop marketing communications
- Photos: only where needed, and kept for a reasonable period to manage the service and resolve any issues
How we keep your information secure
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. This includes access controls and using reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to reduce risk and respond to issues.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have rights over your personal data. These may include the right to:
- Access the information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your information in certain situations
- Restrict or object to processing in certain situations
- Withdraw consent for marketing at any time
- Request a copy of your information in a portable format (where applicable)
